How did you get apple and pears within three years? I'm envious of the garden, besides health issues, been too lazy lately. Managed to plant only a few lily bulbs, last year.

Thank you everyone for your comments. It was carefully designed to be a low maintenance garden because we are away so much, and a good proportion of it is covered in gravel. Don't give us too much credit for hard work!
We too were surprised at how quickly everything has grown. It seems to be fertile soil. There are two vines growing but only one is fruiting - the red grapes have yet to appear.
What an amazing transformation! I love the space, it looks so comfortable and happy. I think I'd spend most of my time outside if I had a space like that.
