Three years in a row...
"You don't get snow on the beach, not here," they said. I looked out this morning, and what did I see? Not France, that's for sure.

Sparkling water
We haven't had much bright sunshine this winter so when I saw the light shining off the flat surface of the water through the twigs, I had to take this picture. It looks better enlarged but it doesn't capture the full sparkle properly.

Skeletons
I love the shapes of the trees in the winter.
Especially in the snow.
A collection of what I take to be rooks at the top of this one.
A winter-flowering cherry, not a very inspiring tree in the summer, but I do like its shape.
Trees lining a driveway, limes I think. They were lovely last autumn too. They are relatively young, having been planted after the older trees were destroyed in the "hurricane", the Great Storm of 1987.
