PhotoHunter: Hair
I have thick curly hair, the bane of my life, but my husband has fine straight hair. Genetics worked out nicely and we have one son each as far as hair type is concerned.
Straight haired son has just married. Looking around at our newly, and delightfully, enlarged family, I see I will not be alone any more! Curls, curls everywhere!
When I was their age, long, straight and blond hair was the fashion.

All lovely shots of hair. I too have thick curly hair and yes wish I had thin straight hair. But not too worry - hair straighteners are amazing. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteCurly hair looks nice. These look more natural than silky straight hair.
ReplyDeleteMine is up. have a great weekend! :)
a real curly family:)
ReplyDeleteOh, wow... The second picture is exactly what I wished for when I was ten or so... I had that long, straight blond hair! Now it's not so blond, but not straight either :D
ReplyDeleteCurly hair is great. I am astonished when women I know will go out of their way to straighten their hair
ReplyDeleteI love curly hair since I have very straight hair!
ReplyDeletelovely shots.
Happy weekend!
I'm glad that (as far as I can see) all types of hair are "in fashion" now. Afterall: we have what we have. It's painful to people to have these fads! I love those curls.
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely, curly hair. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how we always want to opposite of what we have - I always wanted straight hair when I was younger but now I love my curly hair.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
People pay good money to have what you've got naturally. Good photohunting.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. I, too, have thick curly (more frizzy than curly) hair. When I was a teen, loooooooong before electric straighteners, I used UNCURL to straighten it. My friends with straight hair wanted curly hair. I don't suppose we are ever satisfied!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Pollywog Creek and have a blessed weekend.
I have straight hair that wings out in the wrong places. I've always wanted curly hair. But everyone I know who has curly hair wants straight hair.
ReplyDeleteAre we never happy? ;)
And of course, I want those curls I see! The grass is indeed always greener...
ReplyDeleteThese days it's kind of nice because not just one kind of hair is in fashion. Just whatever works for you! Of course, you always want what you can't have!
ReplyDeleteLong, straight and blonde it was - the things I would do have straight hair. Those were the days when ironing your hair meant just that...
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my photo hunter's entry :) What hair in your family! Our families hair are all pretty much straight & (rather) boring! LOL
ReplyDeleteThin straight hair here, would love to have locks like that. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the visit.
People who have curly hair wish it was straight; people who have straight hair wish it was curly! Grass is always greener, eh? My hair is bone straight...but I just got a curly perm :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the close up shots!
ReplyDeleteTerrific photos! I have straight black hair. I remember when I was young, I wanted curls and I asked my mom if I can have it permed and she gave me permission. I kept it naturally straight again after several months but it was a nice hair experience.
ReplyDeletewhat a great take on the theme. I used genetics as this weeks theme also. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks for the visit, a new way to describe family members, you know which one , the one with curly hair, no no the straight haired one....Lol
ReplyDeleteCheers Mark
Great HAIR shots. Yours looks beautiful with even sprinkling of silver in it. Mine is also naturally curly, and I am so grateful for that... no expensive, yucky smelling chemicals needed to make it look pretty... and no one can ever do artificial curls as nice as natural ones.
ReplyDeleteDrop by my lair
to see my hair,
With time to spare,
others will be there.
100% - can it be a better entry - no - no
ReplyDeleteIt still amazes me that the girls today just wash their hair and let it dry into curls and don't worry about it. I always fretted so... didn't do any good, but I did. Curls everywhere!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful curls everywhere!!
ReplyDeleteI love curly hair as my straight Asian hair is as far from curly as you can get. My husband has curly hair and my son started out with curly hair, but now it is getting straighter as he gets older. Interesting how genetics work!
ReplyDeleteAnd I pay a fortune for me curls!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful hair...I love those gorgeous curls. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteMine are up.
Beautiful curls!
ReplyDeleteMine is up late!
