PhotoHunter: party

I had real difficulty with this theme, but while looking through some very old (50+ years) family photos, decided I could join in if I took a very liberal interpretation. These were all taken in Africa.

outdoor ceremony

Ceremonial party (actually Remembrance Day)

picnic in garden

Garden party - a picnic in our garden. I suppose it could also be called tea party.

child at lake side

Search party. My sister aged two clutching bucket and spade and not wearing a lot, setting off in search of something in the lake. She doesn't know about this blog or I would be dead by tomorrow!

African huts painted white

House party. For some reason when I see these painted huts I always think they look as though they are all dressed up ready to party!

car being pushed from flood

Rescue party. Our car being pushed across a flooded river.

Elephants on road warning sign

Welcome party. I have no idea who these people are, and I have no recollection of seeing elephants in the road, but I like the picture.

  5. LOL on your sister not knowing about the blog....good thing, 'cause I wouldn't want to read any headlines about a Photo Hunt blogger being found face down in any water...ummmmm, she'd take you to the very exact same spot and show you just how she felt about you sharing...roflmao. Great photos.

I hope you can drop in to view my two party themed photos. Have a terrific weekend.

@Eastcoastlife, yes I did live in Africa, from the age of 3 so it was a long time before I understood that things were different in other countries.
@Bingskee, thanks, I'll be visiting you too.
@Daisy, if I were you I'd stay away from the elephants - they are a little larger than you!
@Claudie, yes so would I. These photos were all taken in Malawi and I'd love to go abck one day, but it's such a long way.
