Morning sun

It looks so peaceful in the early morning sun. I love the way the light catches the trees at this time of day, as I stand here looking south. Balm for my soul.

  1. How pastoral-looking. Nice pic. I especially like the water. Is that a river? Near civilization, but ever so private-looking. Thank you for this.

  2. That's "my" river :) as viewed from the house. As viewed while I drink my first cup of tea in the morning.

  6. I have said this before, but you do stay in one of the prettiest parts of the world. If jealousy makes one nasty, I wonder what envy does.

  9. @Elaine, thanks. I freely admit it was the view that sold us this house.
@Mar - back from holiday? I still get the email notifications myself, but other blogger users can't subscribe to follow-up comments by email. I'm not sure how many use the feature, or how soon they will fix the problem.
@Debbie, you're very welcome to come and play :) No reason why you shouldn't kayak. I've seen people out there but usually it's fishing punts.
@Sailor, thanks. I know we are lucky, and it was pure chance that we happened to find this place.
@Myke, the embedded comments are available in blogger-in-draft. Just log in to http://draft.blogger.com/home and you can switch them on.
