Harvest

 The crop

The guard
The harvester

It's worth it though, for the entertainment value as they try to fly in, grab a grape, and fly off again without a pause. They miss as often as they succeed.

  1. I love it - particularly the guard. But the cheeky harvester almost deserves his share of the crop.

  2. @Elaine, yes I do smile indulgently at the birds. We have had our fill. And the guard tells me he enhances the scenery :)
    @ECL, no, only a few vines in the garden which we use as much to give summer shade as to produce grapes. The crop is as much as we can handle, so in truth I'm happy for the birds to have some.

  4. LOL, you've really captured the situation with these 3 photos...it's funny how the harvester has managed to get passed the guard!

  5. So how do the grapes taste? Mostly good or also soury ones?

    Cute post :-)

  7. @Mike, yes, and just as much of a time waster!
    @Lux, thanks!
    @Marie, the guard is pretty incompetent :)
    @Bas, they're good sweet grapes but have pips, and I've been spoilt by eating seedless grapes.
    @Caroline, they don't always manage and so they get dropped all over the place.
