PhotoHunt: chipped
Still limping slightly, but my trusty computer appears to have life in it yet. So, here goes with a late PhotoHunt entry, all taken last weekend on a short visit to the Corrèze department in France.
A door with chipped paintwork. The door is the entrance to a tower dating back to the Renaissance.
Another door, this time the wood itself is chipped.
I love that first door! You found a great collection here. I'm so sorry about your computer. We've had a lot of trouble here with my son's computer, but I think things are OK now. I hope yours gerts sorted soon.
How strange to think that pictures of crumbling stone and wood can be so interesting! What images come to mind of those that have passed that way. Good stuff.
Wishing your computer better health. Great choices for this weeks theme. I lived in England for three years and never got a chance to visit France. My youngest was four when we moved there and he hated to travel around. Have a great weekend :)
Wow, what a story was told by your awesome photos! Thank you. Your picks are just unforgettable - they look like alive and what's the most important - your photos have awaken me - my heart longs for the flowers and thus the snow blossoms out underfoot due to your wonderful picks that knock on the heart.
Wow them stairs are even more chipped than the ones I posted. Thanks for sharing such lovely captured moments from far away places!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! The door, the wood and the steps all look magnificent. Happy weekend
ReplyDeleteNice shots! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the shot of the steps. I bet they've seen a few thousand pairs of feet over the years.
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots! Time tested and none the worse for wear... beautiful!
ReplyDeletenice pics as usual!
ReplyDeleteTerrific photos! It's nice to know the church steps are worn, from traffic, lol.
ReplyDeleteI did Photo Hunters today, too. I hope you get a chance to visit.

The chipped wood door must be very old.
ReplyDeleteI think all three of those things look better because they are chipped and timeworn!
ReplyDeleteThose are all wonderful shots and perfect for the theme.
ReplyDeleteSorry to read about your computer problems, but glad you were able to post these examples of the PhotoHunt theme. All of them a nice photographs.

ReplyDeleteO, the stories hidden inside the footsteps upon those ancient stairs! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had interesting architecture where we live. But it's nice to be an armchair traveler at least! :)
