I was completely at a loss for what to choose for today. I need guidelines, I need rules. But I happened to look out of the window and noticed the effect of the early morning sun on the river, and here you are!
We've had some very cold nights close to freezing and some very sunny mornings. Today was the first time I ventured out into the cold to take some pictures of the mist rising from the surface of the water. As usual, they look better if you enlarge them.
If you'd like to join in and find other other players, go and visit TNchick's site.
Lovely photos - love the reflections.
ReplyDeleteIn a reflective mood, I see.
ReplyDeleteI'll get me coat...
Very pretty reflections! I'm amazed by the mist though. I've never seen anything quite like that - we don't have nature like that. :D Oh I do wish we have some cold here. I'm sweating buckets!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, your choices are beautiful but the enlarged views are fantastic!! wonderful! I do better with rules too ... :D
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend and happy PH!!
Ooh, I just love the second picture, it made a complete circle. Have a nice weekend. CY.

Its gotten quite cold here in Philly and two big storms this week, a little unusual for this time of year, too.
ReplyDeleteIts looks as if there's been a lot of rain, with the trees touching the water; Beautiful pictures, especially capturing the mist from the water. Even though I live close to a river I've never photographed it early in the morning. I don't think I would ever be able able to get a photo without any cars on the bridges.
You don't need rules, not with sights like that!
ReplyDeleteSuperb second shot of the bridge!
Having no theme made you go out in the cold for these? We should have no theme more often.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful morning, hooray for no theme and an adventurous photographer. :) Thanks for stopping by today.
ReplyDeleteI also felt lost by the guideless topic... but you have posted a treasure this week! I love the third photo, of the warm mist rising. I miss that, from once living in the mountains.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!

What a beautiful view right outside your house - wonderful nature pics!
ReplyDeleteWe had the loveliest sunny fall weather today and Diane and I was on a boat trip on the Oslo Fjord - will post about it later.
Happy Weekend :-)
Ah such delightful reflections! Happy weekend
ReplyDeleteThat second photo is gorgeous, I love the circular shapes formed by the reflections.
ReplyDeletethese pics are so lovely and serene, A. one should not miss taking pics with these ones.
ReplyDeleteNice picture with the mist on the water.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures.... especially the first one of the tree.. someone it really evokes the first fingers of winter....
ReplyDeleteLove the "circle" bridge photo. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures! Love the reflections! Lucky you having such beauty just outside your window.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! You are so lucky to have such scenery right outside your door. Living in the desert, I love to see GREEN! Oh and water, too! :)
ReplyDeleteThey are simply stunning. The reflections are some of the best I've seen.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you all liked the pictures, and I do realise how lucky I am to have such views on my doorstep. My own personal favourite is the third one.
ReplyDeleteHi A. --
ReplyDeleteThe photos give off a sense of cold weather -- but also beauty. :)
Beautiful reflections! The mist rising from the surface of the water was brilliantly captured in the last shot; a mystic and magical feeling.
ReplyDeleteThe bridge photo is beautiful. I love the complete circle the reflection makes. Stunning.
