PhotoHunter: fake

You are walking down a steep, old, cobbled street, enjoying the ancient buildings to each side, when suddenly you glimpse something through an archway into a courtyard. At the far end you can see a man riding a horse. Could it be Charles VII? He has just caught your eye ....

    Oh I love that. We have buildings here with painted "windows" that look like the real thing. You just reminded me of them. :-)

    Great take on the theme. Trompe l'oeil is so clever; we have an example here in Swansea but I didn't think about it.

    Thank you all for your comments. Jams, it was taken in Loches, in the Indre et Loire department of France. Although it's on the banks of the Indre, it seems to be considered part of the Loire valley.
