Languages are the most powerful instruments of preserving and developing our heritage. Nothing is more interesting than learning another language and it isn't just the language that you learn. Some may suggest that a universal language would be a step forward, but so much about other cultures would be lost.
I didn't know about this day! I love languages.
ReplyDeleteA universal language wouldn't be a good idea , there are some things that can be only said in the original language...
Yes, I do too, even though I'm no expert. But the little I do know makes me realise that it is close to impossible at times to translate some things to convey the same meaning.
