A lusty winter

A freezing fog at dawn started to lift when the sun rose.

But a lot of frost and ice remained.

Silent icicles.

By mid-morning it was a beautiful day for a walk, with the sun on my face.

  9. I had the pleasure of seeing an icicle for about five minutes this year before it melted and fell away from the roof. My daughter thought I was crazy for being thrilled at the discovery.
