Twilight

Walking through the grounds of Winchester Cathedral during the late afternoon, I was struck by the silhouettes against the darkening sky.

The second picture shows the outline of the memorial for the King's Royal Rifle Corps.

As I looked it up to find out what the memorial was, I discovered that the Corps was founded as the 60th Royal Americans in 1755.

  3. Thank you all very much for you comments. I'm still inclined to feel a bit silly when I suddenly produce the camera, but I'm getting there.
