Walking through the grounds of Winchester Cathedral during the late afternoon, I was struck by the silhouettes against the darkening sky.

The second picture shows the outline of the memorial for the King's Royal Rifle Corps.

As I looked it up to find out what the memorial was, I discovered that the Corps was founded as the 60th Royal Americans in 1755.

  1. Lovely photos, the way the silhouettes stand out against the colour of the sky :)

  2. Yes, lovely photos! Glad you had your camera along :)

  3. Great pics - how well you've captured the atmosphere!

Btw: Thanks for your visit and comments on my Yule Market post. I have another Xmas traditions on today if you like :-)

  4. Thank you all very much for you comments. I'm still inclined to feel a bit silly when I suddenly produce the camera, but I'm getting there.

Forethoughts, afterthoughts, any thoughts. Tell me.
